Background information:
These fences serve partly as a railing on crossovers, and small bridges over ditches and drainage canals. Due to the dual stands they are very strong and can therefore even prevent cars falling from the viaduct.
Also, these fencings that have been designed in the '50s, have a certain aesthetic value, wich in addition to the functionality was a focus of attention in those days.
