Background information:
This high masonry wall exudes solidity. In the brickwork we see two bonds, in the thick brick surfaces we see Flemish bond and in the thicker parts cross bond has been consistently used. But the solidity also lies in the natural stone covering stones that are placed on the wall in every place where rainwater could fall straight from above. This limits the erosion of joints. To passers-by, the wall will be characterized as a high wall. With masonry up to approximately 1.5 meters high and above that more than a meter high in ironwork held up by the piers, which are in fact masonry columns on site. This actually brings the total height of the whole to over 3 meters.
