More information

Background information:
Stairs are used to enter the passerelle from the platform or street level. This also means that there are two lengths. One to bridge the height between the platform and the passerelle and a longer / higher one to bridge the distance between the street level and the passerelle. The stairs are modeled after the NS house style from around 1990 to around 2020, with black uprights and red hand rails.

Architectural details:
The concrete stairs are actually cast in one piece and then placed. The platforms that are in it are made mandatory by the Building Decree so that a person can rest after every c.a. 20 steps. In reality, stairs are often used where the number of travelers is not so high and an escalator therefore becomes too expensive.
