Background information:
Elevators are used to access the passerelle from the platform or street level. This also means that there are two lengths. One to bridge the height between the platform and the passerelle and a longer / higher one to bridge the distance between the street level and the passerelle. The elevators are modeled after the NS house style from 1990 to 2020, which means that a lot of glass has been used in order to maintain the feeling of orientation and safety.

Architectural details:
In reality, the lift shafts consist of steel profiles, which also form the frames for the many glass. The lift shafts are reinforced with so-called steel wind bracing. The braces create the cross-shaped interplay of lines as a side effect. The lift cabin is also a steel construction with a lot of glass. The lift is mainly used to serve the less mobile traveler. The capacity is usually not as high as with the escalator and the lift is more expensive to maintain and purchase than, for example, a regular staircase.

Note: Precision and experience are necessary for the assembly of this model. This is in particular applicable for the scale 1:160.
