More information

Background information:
The Markenburg module platform is based on platforms as they are used in the Netherlands today. Dutch platforms are often structured differently, but so unique that you can recognize them immediately on a picture. The shape of the floor tiles, the platform materials or the platform walls give the platform its typical Dutch identity through their detailing. This identity is reflected in the Markenburg models. The platform stairs take you from the public road to the platform and vice versa. Platform stairs are logically only used on the "back" of side platforms and not on island platforms. With D-type platforms, they can also be used to access a building placed on the wide platform segment.

Architectural details:
The characteristic details by which you can recognize a contemporary Dutch train station are, for example, the 30 x 30 cm floor tiles and the molded concrete blocks that make up the platform's top surface . In addition, guide strips for the blind can be worked into the surface. The width of the platforms is based on the Peco code 55 geometry, but can also be used in combination with other rail systems. The platform stairs are equipped with the characteristic red handrails, among other things.
