Background information:
This type of merchandise booth was build in Noord-Brabant, and other provincies too. One of them was build in the town Drunen and was demolished in the nineteen sixties. The same type of booth was build in Waalwijk, Geertruidenberg, Vlijmen, Hoge Zwaluwe and Waspik (nearby towns). The merchandise from the towns were collected here and sent by train. Also incoming merchandise was stored here. In Waalwijk mainly animal skins, leather, salt and shoes.
