More information

Background information:
This type of housing is often built in the 90s of the last century. Residents of these homes are often seniors or sometimes (single) starters or people with physical disabilities. The most important thing of the house is that everything is on one floor except the attic which is accessed by a staircase. The bedroom and shower is on the ground floor. In many cases the houses have a small front and backyard with a shed in the backyard. Those sheds are also included in the Markenburg model.

Architectural details:
The house is built of masonry walls in a light brown to sandy yellow color, and has a saddle roof with concrete tiles. The roof is a little longer over the front door so that there is a small canopy. In the middle of the rear roof area a skylight is located for some daylight in the attic.
A central heating system brought an end to the typical masonry chimneys that we previously saw in each heated building. The shed has a lecterns roof and is completely separate from the house in the backyard.
